Due to player inactivity in the teams, the tournament is postponed pending redistribution of the players and establishing a WORKING teams structure. We will be trying to implement evening 6v6 PUGs (Pick-up Games) until the teams structure can be finalized. Please show your support as we proceed through this phase.
As a result, the sign-ups will be re-opened and players can indicate their interest in this thread: Late Joiners and Ringers
For communication purposes please also join the relevant Steam Group here: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/NSDraft
Once the tournament is restarted, the following prizes will still be offered.
Prizes:
- 30-day reserved slot on <BAD> clan servers for members of the winning team (may be extended or traded for forum resource awards to use with the Token mod to activate reserved slot when desired)
- banned players on the winning team will get unbanned provided that it is up to them to stay unbanned by fitting into the community and following the rules of the server
- special (optional) in-game icons for members of winning team
- the prizes mentioned above may be extended to 2nd and 3rd place teams depending on total sign-ups (need 6 teams for top 3 to get prizes)
- at least one MVP award (10000 resources from ME) that can be used towards obtaining reserved slots for up to 10 months (1000 resources/month/reserved slot)
If it is incentive enough for players to participate in this tournament, I will propose that EVERYBODY that signs up and plays in the tournament (even those that might get benched in matches, but are still active) gets a one-month reserved slot.
All of the servers are being relocated within the next week, with IP addresses changing as a result. Prepare to update your favorites list!
More information will be posted on here as it is released.

Update-Here are the new server IPS to be used soon.
74.55.85.210:27015 - <BAD> Clan Server 1 - Classic
74.55.85.210:27017 - <BAD> Clan Server 2 - Combat
74.55.85.210:27019 - <BAD> Clan Server 3 - Siege
Quoted from Slice:
“Server 3 - Siege is up.
We also have a mix of combat maps here to help seed the server. The combat here does not have extralevels. However, it does have TERRITORY.
When a CO map first starts, you have a vote between normal 10 level combat or Territory mode.
After that vote finishes, you select which mode of Territory to play. In Territory, the hive and CC are invulnerable. Game play is all about the NODES.”
Game Mode for Territories are:
Capture All
Resource Wars
Sequence Capture
Take Over
Tech War
All you siege addicts (all 4 of you, including me), this is what you’ve been dreaming of! Have fun!
Details here: http://nsbadclan.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6092
On a side note: All siege maps have been removed from Server 1.
Two days remaining to sign-up
Current sign-ups: 19
Required: 14 (two teams of 6 + spare for each)
Goal: 36 (for 6 teams and more prizes)
If you haven’t signed up yet, do so now and get your friends.
So far, it is confirmed that the winning team members will get a 30-day reserved slot on the servers (either directly activated or in the form of forum resources) and another chance for those that are banned from the BAD servers. Winners will also get special forum and in-game icons. Furthermore, runner up teams and MVPs may also get rewards - this is in process of negotiation.

You may have heard that the <BAD> clan recently organized a draft tournament under the direction of shoester, who has since departed from the clan over an unrelated case of irreconcilable differences within the community. The task of officially directing the tournament has been taken on by Apollo and recently I have also volunteered to help out.
The draft tournament follows the NS Classic game mode and is open to all players of all levels of skill. The teams will be selected from a pool of players that sign up on the forums. The idea is to place players on teams in such a way as to create similarly-skilled teams to promote balanced games with fair opportunities for either team to win. Following the conclusion of Season 1, the sign-ups for Season 2 will be opening shortly at the beginning of February. Check this tournament forum for details.
Whether you are a seasoned veteran of the game, a casual player, or a newbie, there is a something for you to enjoy by playing in the draft tournament. Training sessions are available to bring interested players up to speed for this season’s competition. Come and learn a thing or two from fellow players, experience planning and synergism in teamwork, have a few laughs over hillarious outtakes and bloopers, and make new friends as we continue to keep the element of competitive NS alive in our community.
The evolution continues! Lerks spotted coming out of gestation now have sharp pointy things sticking out of their mouths!
Today, the <BAD> competitive team went undefeated to win over Argentinian competitors 2RAM in the finals of the “End of Year NS International Tournament”. Playing at upwards of 200 ping on South American servers, the <BAD> team was expecting an uphill battle and fought courageously and decisively. After upsetting favorites OVERLOCK in the quarter finals of the winners bracket, the <BAD> team engaged in battle against 2RAM over two maps - ns_lucid and ns_metal. After losing against <BAD> on ns_lucid 2-0, the Argentinians put up a valiant effort to challenge <BAD> on ns_metal but eventually lost 2-0 making <BAD> the champions of the tournament.
See this link for more details and possibly some HLTV demos that may have been recorded.
The second round of tournament play has been scheduled for the weekend of the 12th and 13th of December. Losers of Week 1 matches will play in a specially formatted round robin event on Saturday for a chance to rejoin the winners from week 1. The tournament semi-finals will be on Sunday, featuring the three winners from week 1, and the winner from Saturday’s play.
Details are available at http://nsbadclan.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5544
All players MUST post in the week 2 roll call thread, or risk losing their place in their team

Draft tournament, holiday icons, and gorge race triumph
<BAD> Draft Tournament Now in Progress
You may be aware that the <BAD> clan is hosting a draft tournament that will be running through December 2009. Two weeks ago, the first round of matches was played.
Schuster, the organizer of the event, posted the following :
“Congratulations to the all the teams and players who played.
Here is the link to all the HLTV demos of the matches: http://72.9.144.10/pub/
Rage Team 6 defeats AROCKALYPSE
Team 1 defeats Team Domination
Team Fuck Phone defeats Phonemanding
As a friendly reminder: We won’t be having any matches this week due to team 3 issues and Thanksgiving. We’ll resume matches with 2 brackets, the losers and winners, the following week.”
If you want to check out the tournament website, you can find it here: <BAD> NS Draft Tournament
The draft tournament has six teams, of which four are currently active. If you are interested in participating and helping out two struggling teams, you may still be able to join the tournament late. See the relevant forum topic for details.
This week the two maps that will be played are ns_tanith and ns_eclipse.
Holiday Icons Now Available
Would you like to share the holiday spirit? ShenTrax is offering all registered players of the <BAD> servers the opportunity to wear one of several free custom icons between now and the new year! The icons would appear next to your player name on the scoreboard in-game! If you are interested, see the Holiday Icon forum thread for details.
